NSW: Woman hits man with car, tests positive for drink driving

SYDNEY, Dec 20 AAP - A woman motorist who knocked down a pedestrian early on Saturday tested three times over the drink driving limit, police say.

The 36-year-old male victim suffered serious head injuries in the incident at Avoca Beach, on the NSW Central Coast, about 12.45am (AEST) on Saturday.

Emergency crews rushed to Avoca Drive where the man was walking when struck by the silver Mercedes.

He was admitted to Gosford Hospital with a fractured skull.

The woman recorded a breath test reading of 0.155.

She was charged with high range PCA and will appear at Gosford Local Court in January.
